Women's Conference in Calif.

I can't believe that the first I heard about the Women's Conf. is via Good Morning America this morning. It's so exciting to see 25,000 women gathered to talk about women's issues. Check it out: http://www.californiawomen.org/the-womens-conference-2009/ The program is being broadcast online.

Beyond that, it's an amazing example of what social media can do. They put together an amazing integrated media package. But somehow, I, a member of the target audience, never got the message until the conference was in full swing.

Maria Shriver released an extensive report on the status of women in the U.S. Check out; http://www.awomansnation.com/execSum.php
It's sponsored by the Center for American Progress, a progressive think tank. (Yes, Shriver is married to a Republican governor, but, of course, she has deep Democratic roots as a member of the Kennedy clan.)

I can't wait to forage thru the report. Please let me know what you think.
